Lead Servant
“Do not be called ‘Rabbi’; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren.” (Mt. 23:8)
Warren (Paul) Gray, with his wife Anya, are the lead-servants of LIFE Mission Ministries in Johannesburg which is a member of the International Apostolic Council founded by John G. Lake in 1914.
Paul and his “better-half” (his own words), Anya Gray, have been missionaries for 30 years in Europe, Asia, and now South Africa where they reside. They have three lively children, each one born on a different continent.
Warren, originally from California, left his studies of Aeronautical Science and childhood dream of becoming a commercial pilot after a life-transforming encounter with Jesus Christ. From that point forward he’s been spending his time helping others discover and realize the vibrant relationship that God makes available with Himself.
Warren spent the next 24 years in Europe, Asia, and South Africa, living by faith, sharing the Gospel, and helping people grow in relationship with God. His passion is helping people understand the simplicity and power of the Gospel which is “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27), and understanding the ramifications of being a “dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” (Eph. 2:22) — an understanding based on an intimate relationship with God, simple faith in the Words and LIFE of Christ, and the scriptural understanding of the power of what Christ accomplished in the life of every believer by virtue of being a “new creation” (2 Cor. 5:17) and “born again” (Jn. 3:3) and being “seated in Heavenly places in Christ.” (Eph. 2:6).
Warren’s passion is helping equip believers everywhere with “the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:13), that the sons of God may awaken to their identity and thus live daily LIFE with this reality — experiencing and sharing the love, power, presence, and fullness of the LIFE of Christ which translates into impacting people and the communities in which they live. For “he who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.” (1 John 2:6)
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16) “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7) May our lives point people to Jesus by our “faith working through love,” (Galatians 5:6) and thus revealing Christ to the world.
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” (Jn. 14:12) and “if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘ Move from here to there, ’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20) “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mk. 16:17-18)
“He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.” (1 Corinthians 6:17) “As He is, so are we in this world.” (1 John 4:17) “that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.” (John 17:21)
Warren and Anya continue to live by faith and trust God to meet their every need as God continues to lead and guide in regards to establishing a training centre in Johannesburg at which people will come and get equipped from all over the world — and carry the light, power, and presence of Christ back to transform nations.
