The “God-Men” Part 1
an extension of Christ in this world
About this Video / Audio teaching:
This is part one of a series entitled, “The God-Men.” John G. Lake entitled one of his teachings “The God-Men” which described the ramifications of a believer’s union with God in Christ. The title is borrowed from Dr. Lake’s title on the same topic.
The believer’s union with God is complete, to the degree 1 Cor. 6:17 tells us that “he that is joined to the Lord is ONE SPIRIT WITH HIM” and “as He (Jesus) is, so are we in THIS world.” (1 Jn. 4:17) Jesus also prayed that we “may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be ONE IN US, that the world may believe that You sent Me.” (John 17:21)
These and similar scriptures tend to cause concern for some, but it is simply due to not fully understanding God’s Word and thus the depth of His intention within the Good News of the Gospel in making us a “New Creation” IN Himself. If we embrace and live God’s Word, we enter into the destiny God has for every believer — that of manifesting His very LIFE, as His representatives on this Earth — ensuring that His will is done “on Earth as it is in Heaven.” (Mt. 6:10). As His very “body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.” (Eph. 1:23) — an extension of Himself. This then puts all in perspective as we set out to fulfill the words and works of Christ, “the same works and greater” (Jn. 14:12) “… works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Eph. 2:10)
Understanding our union, as believers, with Christ, equips us with the knowledge of God to be “partakers of His diving nature.” (2 Ptr. 1:4) We can also understand that when Jesus declared “it is finished” on the cross, to the degree that we understand and stand on His finished work, to that same degree we are able to manifest and transmit to others the healing LIFE which He shed His blood to make available to us. (This principle of the “rest of faith” is touched on in this teaching.)
ALSO TOUCHED ON IN THIS TEACHING:
— Principles of QUANTUM PHYSICS in regards to how it confirms the teachings of Jesus as per the working of miracles; how observable changes take place in the physical as a result of faith and expectation — and the interconnectivity of all things (in Christ) without disconnect through distance and time.
— Spiritual sensory perception and walking in the fullness of the Spirit. The process of “spiritualization” (being “renewed in the spirit of our mind” (Eph. 4:23)) of the soul (the seat of our will and “life paradigm”) which enables us to walk in the Spirit.
